Fitting & Shoe Sizing for Sway'D | | Please try on your dance shoes on a clean, soft surface to prevent soiling of the suede. Try both shoes on as one foot is normally a different length and shape than the other. They must fit snugly without hurting so you maintain proper balance on the dance floor. This means that all parts of the shoes should be covered by your feet. If your feet move easily inside the shoes, you cannot properly control your balance or your dance posture. Blue Moon Ballroom Dance Supply normally suggests that you try a half size smaller than your street shoe size to fit your dance shoes. When placing your first order, you might benefit from ordering 2 sizes to be able to judge the proper fit for your feet in regards to a glove snug fit. Your own experience with your foot type is the best guide. Our shoes are sized based on the european (french) scale. You can use these size conversions for other common systems. Width wise, in women’s the medium/standard width is a ‘B’ fitting, and a wide fitting is 1/4″ wider. |
